The picture shows how different the ukokkei's egg is from normal chicken's. The size is a bit smaller but the yolk part swells as if it contains rich nourishment!
Thanks for the comment. As a new commer to the blog world, I had nothing but uploading silly topics like introducing my pets, etc. I'm wondering if I have a chance to know more about your activity.
Keiko, How about fish eggs like salmon roe("Ikura") or "Sujiko"? If you cannot do with those, you, as a habitant in Hokkaido, should have missed half of your like enjoying them with nice "Sake". It's somewhat touching you when you see a small egg lain beside the Ukokkei every morning.
Welcome to the world of blogging. Good start. Hope to see you post more. :)
